JOHN MCDUFF: I practice business and tax law. It's the only thing I've ever done for 30 years. I've never ventured into other areas. Business and tax law is what I do.
I started out in solo practice and eventually I decided to grow a firm. And I got up to six attorneys. But I found that I no longer had a consistent relationship with my clients. And I lost that personal relationship. And when I went back to solo practice, I once again had that one-on-one relationship that's so important, not only to me, but to my clients.
I have the highest rating for competence and character from Martindale Hubbell, which is the national rating service and I'm meticulous and thorough. I help my clients stand up for themselves. From that approach to the law, my client gets quality. And quality work is important when you have a serious case.
When you have a lot of experience with larger cases, it's easier to handle one from start to finish. But there's no substitute for working nights and weekends when something that requires a lot of time needs to be done and needs to be done on time. And that's what I do for my clients.
